The recommended treatment for medial epicondylitis is similar to that for lateral epicondylitis (tennis elbow), except that "golfer's elbow" occurs inside of the elbow instead of the outside.
Because the medial epicondyle is very close to the ulnar nerve, this problem can coexist with ulnar-nerve entrapment in the area, or cubital tunnel syndrome. Not only must medial epicondylitis be properly diagnosed and treated, but care should be taken to investigate whether cubital tunnel syndrome is also present.
